Break the Cycle of Eating Out in just 7 Days.

Cook Better. Eat Together. Enjoy Gourmet Everyday.

If you are tired of spending all of your money eating out,  throwing away food that ends up going bad because you didn't get to it fast enough, rushing through meals, standing up eating your food at the kitchen counter, eating in the car or not eating as healthy as you know you need to be, then it's time to join the Eat Out at Home Challenge.

What is the Eat Out at Home Challenge?

Eat Out at Home is a FREE 7-Day guided challenge of no eating out, no drive thru's and no delivery, to help you get in the habit (or back in the habit) of cooking at home, consistently.

How Does the Challenge Work?

For 7 days, you will #EatOutAtHome.  What does that mean, you ask?  Simple.

Everyday for the next 7 Days you will only eat what you cook. No going out to restaurants, drive throughs, no prepared foods from your local health food store, no delivery, not even a frozen dinner. Just You and your family, in the kitchen, cooking it up!

I’m talking Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Snacks. That’s it.

What's Included?

Each Day of the challenge, you will receive an EMAIL from me with a USEFUL TIP, helping you to eat out at home and how to make it realistic and easier. The goal is to form the habit of cooking at home. Going out for a meal becomes the exception, not the rule.

Throughout the challenge you will also be receiving COOKING VIDEOS so that you can stay motivated and get your creative juices flowing. In those videos you will also learn some cooking tips to help you move around the kitchen a lot faster and make cooking less of a chore.

You will also receive 10 PRINTABLE RECIPES to add to your collection so that when you are in a recipe rut, or you are out of inspiration, you have something new to try. #ChewWithYourMindOpen

You will also become a part of the #EatOutAtHome family inside our FACEBOOK GROUP. That's where I livestream and share tips on cooking and eating out at home in general. You will also get a chance to chat it up with your fellow family members, exchange tips, recipe ideas and just lay back, kick it, and enjoy the ride. (see what I did there? LOL)

Hi! I'm Evelyn. Your Challenge Host.

I started cooking when I was 6 years old. At least that is as early as I can remember. For the first 5 years of my life, my mother, father and I would go to my Grandmother’s house every Sunday for dinner. By the time I was 12 I cooked my first Thanksgiving dinner for my family all by myself. (Well, I had my grandma looking over my shoulder, but still, I did the cooking.)  In high school and in college and I would cook for my friends and their dates. Through my cooking I’ve even helped a few people get married (and have babies) along the way.

I remember sitting and watching cooking shows with my grandmother when I was in middle school and high school and being in awe that people got to cook for a living. My grandmother was an amazing cook. I remember coming home from college and she would make enough food to feed an army and it would just be the two of us. I love that memory.

I remember the feeling when she would have the entire family over for dinner and the food would be amazing. I also remember when she would sell dinners from her little apartment to people in the neighborhood and she would always sell out. People loved her cooking and they loved her. When other people tried to copy what she was doing, they always asked if my grandmother was the one who cooked it and if it wasn’t her, they didn’t buy. That’s when I really saw what it’s like to bring people together over food. It’s always a good time. I wanted to be able to do that.

After years of working in corporate america as an Engineer and cooking on the side, I decided to go to culinary school. To be honest, I already knew how to cook when I went to culinary school, but I wanted to be even better.  I just really enjoyed feeding my friends and family and I didn’t just want to be good, I wanted to be great. And while I thought I was a good cook, I soon realized there was so much more to learn, so many new things to try. It was on of the best decisions I have ever made.

Since that time, I’ve had the pleasure of cooking for Sheryl Crow, Bishop T.D Jakes, Giada DeLaurentis and Sarah Jakes Roberts. I have had the opportunity to assist celebrity chefs such as Mario Batali, Guy Fieri of the Food Network, and Art Smith who was Oprah’s private chef. I’ve been a caterer, a personal chef, pastry chef, and cooking school manager among many other things. I’ve taught thousands of people how to cook (in real life and online) and it’s my absolute favorite thing to do. Who would have thought that food could have done all of that?

One thing that I have learned from years of cooking, is that  Food heals. I’ve seen it heal families, heal relationships and even heal the body. Food brings us together and makes delicious memories. What happens over those meals is what we remember, and that is what’s most important.

"I can't afford to do this challenge and eating healthy is crazy expensive."

I'm going to need some receipts on this one. The Challenge is FREE and I'm literally going to need some receipts about healthy food being expensive. I've got questions. Lots of questions. As a matter of fact, I have ALL THE QUESTIONS. I shop for one person and spend about $45/week on all natural/organic/grass fed/free range/hormone free food.

Plus, if you are spending too much, I'll show you how to trim it down in the challenge. I got you!

"I mean, the only reason why I eat out is because I hate to cook."

In all the years that I have been teaching people how to cook, there are only a few reasons why people don't like cooking.

  1. The don't know how.
  2. They don't have the right tools for the job, so it becomes labor intensive and takes forever.
  3. They run out of ideas, get bored eating the same things over and over again and are tired of searching for recipes.
  4. They have convinced themselves that cooking for one or two people just isn't worth it.

All of these can be remedied, and quickly. That's why I'm here to show you the way.

So go ahead and scroll back up so you can sign up and get your life together. No more #PoorLifeChoices  #LuvYouMeanIt
